LAKE BEMIDJI STATE PARKAbout a 15 minute drive from Hide Out Resort, and located on the northern shore of Lake Bemidji is Lake Bemidji State Park. The park is the northern endpoint of the Paul Bunyan Trail, a 100-mile multi-purpose paved trail with the other end in Brainerd. The Blue Ox trail begins in the park ,also, and heads to the north. One unique feature of the park is a two-mile bog walk, a self-interpretive nature trail that takes you through a tamarack-black spruce bog showcasing a variety of orchids and many species of birds and wildlife. |
