CAMP RABIDEAU
Take a step back in the past at historic Camp Rabideau, about 10 miles north of Hide Out Resort. In 1935, more than 2500 Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camps were established as a way to provide jobs and training for
those left unemployed in the wake of the Great Depression. Camp Rabideau is one of only three CCC camps being preserved, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Today the camp offers interpretive displays, hiking trails, and camping.
For more information, call the camp at (218) 835-4291.
